why must we choose between correcting something that was done in the past......what are we trying to correct? is it a racial issue, if it is, would that not be racism on its own merit?
just some thoughts Salah |
Thank you for your thoughts.
All of us on this forum have thoughts and some could be good and right and others could be wrong and bad.
I am just one person;I don't make the laws for Cabo Verde, some of these thoughts you have should be addressed directly to the National Assembly. In the Constitution of The Republic of Cabo Verde (Title II on International Relations And International Law Article 10 number 7 says this:
"The State of Cape Verde shall be engaged in the efforts the African identity, unity and integration and in the strengthening of acts of cooperation for development, democracy, progress and well being of peoples, for the respect of Human Rights, peace and justice".
That is not my opinion that is a stated fact.
I don't think that I need to give an explanation, that is self explanatory. That is what I read in the Constitutuion of Cabo Verde.
In terms of making corrections that is par for the course I think every sane person wants to make corrections. If you don't know the wrongs that have been done far be it from me to tell you,a person who was born in Cabo Verde and should know better then I. I will just leave it at that, perhaps some one else can address your thoughts.
You have your thoughts and I have mine. This is what makes a democracy work. Again I appreciate your thoughts and you have every right to your opinion right or wrong. You have a lot of("IF's)
If it never rains in Cabo Verde will we die? Do we want to make changes so that we won't die? I hope that we can fine the solutions that will serve us as a people for our advancements.
I really don't think that our choices are made based on racial issues. I think it is more then that. Perhaps it could be geography?
How to make wrong, right. You think about it and give your explanation.
I will say this, had not Amilcar Cabral joined forces with Africa especially with Guinea Bissau I wonder if we would be independent and liberated so that we would have this conversation so that we were able to over throw colonialism which was a wrong,to liberate us as a people that today we have a democracy in order to have this discourse. I think that is the difference of what was wrong and that wrong made right. Don't you?
Did we not gain?
Here in North America the 13 colonies fought againt the dictatorship and the tyranny 0f the King of England that was a wrong made right.
Today we are still in the USA trying to make wrong, right;that is why we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King hoilday among many other holidays.
Like that of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Fredrick Douglas and many more who are every day working to make what was wrong in the past,. right. I love two countries the one in which I was born in and the one that my grandparents were forced to leave because of what was wrong. I am happy to have this right,I went to war so that you could have this right also.
My love to you and I hope we all can work together to make wrong, right.
Thank you for your kindness Mr. Vagabundo Kriolu if that is your name.
What ever will be,will be. Perhaps one day our children will live in peace and all of the world will be in peace. We hope.
Peace, joy and happiness to you and yours.

Difficult questions!!!
Salah Mateus is a man of honor and wants to leave to younger generation his legacy of a man for liberation of men.
As far as I am concerned, he wishes the best for the peoples of the world, especially for the ones he calls his countryman, but he doesn't have all the answers, neither do we.
It is already great that we are open to discussions, different topics and reason how we can make wrong right.
We know there is some wrong. we only need to identify them and correct them. I am sure all of us are great contributors to this endeavor.
I am very intrigued with your questions, Vagabundo.
Are you implying that there is no point in trying to solve anything because there is nothing to be solved? The evil is done and we have to live with it?
Just wondering?

It is fine to say correct the right from wrongs, i am onlyu asking what is right and what is wrong. Salah generalized his position instead of giving some direct feedback. i do agree that i have my points of view when it comes to rights and wrongs. there are a few things that we can tell by reading and understanding the wrongs of the past. i recently went over to these two sites, they have some great information on cabo verde

anyways, the reasons that i have so many questions or as salah said "IF'S', o try to set up a conversation where we can admit to rights and wrongs openly. i think to get moving, all the dirty laundry must be said. if we have a discussion here, some people might see it as pointless, but there are many whom we could actually influence to maybe change things. Martin Luther was a single man, his ability to change the world came not because of speaking in closed rooms, but instead he focused on change and to do that, he had to touch an individual. it takes time to touch people, but once you do, the possibilities are endless. i think there is a Cabral, Martin, and Malcom in all of US. Shaka ZULU was a only one man, nothing extraordinary about him, his skill, through hard work helped to change the landscape in africa. There are many leaders, but they succeeed by starting somewhere. why not this forum. i am not holistic, but a realist.
i am astounded by people who make claims but have no factual or cannot provide answers right away. i ask the IFS to begin an honest debate.
Back to my questions about the ifs. I think my ifs are actually questions being asked of the people of cabo verde now. We have the current government that is trying to associate itself with Europe by asking for a special status. That is trying to ally with Europe.
I understand salah’s words. But can he describe what it is. What was done right and what was done wrong?. His words or what he describes implies racism, so by asking, maybe he can clarify and we could open this up. There are a few questions to the evils of racism, we as a people in cabo verde are racist amongst ourselves. This is a know fact and it continues to this day |

To all the people on this forum. Caboverdiano or not Caboverdiano.
Here is what I will describe for all of you.
Much of what we talk about has to do with class and education, economics and our personal experience. Salah is only one individual in the scheme of the discourse we are having about Cabo verde and its people. There is much that I don't know;but what I do know is this. I hope and I pray that we can resolve all the questions in your mind,I'm not sure that we can.
Some people will never be satisfied with changes for they wish for things to be as they were. Among the have nots and the wretched and the poor and down trodden they want to live a better life and to enjoy happiness and to relieve their suffering. No one in their right mind wants to suffer.
NOT EVEN JESUS WHO ASKED HIS FATHER TO PASS THE CUP OF SUFFERING. NOT EVEN YOUR MOTHER'S AND FATHER'S AND GRANDPARENTS AND NOT EVEN YOU.
WE CAN NOT DENY THIS FACT. THE SUFFERING FOR MORE THEN 500 YEARS.
Our struggle was to change that and to have the opportunity for a better life and to have peace, joy and happiness.
What we hope for is that Caboverdianos will come together with wisdom and knowledge and TRUTH,HONESTY,INTEGRITY-DIGNITY TO SERVE OUR NEW NATION.THE CABO VERDE NATION. LET THAT BE OUR DECREE.
We have spoken about the past lets us not live in it;now that we know the truth about the past, let us live in the present.
That is the present tense. Now the presents tense brings forth much problems of the past and we must overcome and improvise. We must be prudent in all our decisions.
We want that all of our students and all of our future leaders to be prepared with determination and with great sacrifice to make Cabo Verde
the best and to be a shinning example a beacon of light of what is meant to be good.
The word GOOD. MEANS MORALLY EXCELLENT;VIRTUOUS;RIGHTEOUS.
The highest quality of excellence. That is to say that all of our people will be free of distress or pain, that all should live comfortable. That is good.
I have the utmost confidence in our students for the future of Cabo Verde
Azijah. meaning the green place that one day will understand the true meaning of the word Azijah. That is good.
In order to accomplish these goals my dear wonderful people is to remember this very strong advice. Do not be false. Please look up the word FALSE.
If you have any more questions ask the scientists of our nation and our future leaders those who are better qualified who know the past and are in the present tense and have the intellect for the future.
Thank all of you for your kindness.
With love and morabeza to all.

Dear Friends.
Let me share my delight of the joy it brings to me that our people have voted in a democracy that also gave them the wisdom to choose the best man for the job as Prime Minister Dr.Jose Marie Pereira Neves.
Long live this young man with such vision and courage to lead his people to success. I think of him as being Titus.
Thank you.

I AM CHER'NO SALAH, Born 6/29/33, New Bedford Mass.
Cabo-Americano
The people who are called Caboverdeans are made up of many different human species, from Europe, Africa, Asia, India, South America. From Europe it would be Portuguese that would also be the mixture of people that make up Portugal, such as the Moors and many other native tribes in North Africa such as the people from Libya, Mauritania all along the Mediterranean Sea, Romans, Spain and of course the people from the North. Portugal is a mixed people. When Portugal became a power in its own right, they also mixed with many other different tribes from Africa and the Middle East.
The people who became known as Caboverdeans are a mixed people, mixed with the people of Portugal & many different tribes from Africa and the Middle East and some from far away as China. Portugal was a great empire and people of the sea. Why the archipelago was called Cabo Verde? We can only say that the Portuguese sailors named it after a place in Senegal, which is a peninsula called Region du Cap Vert between Rufisque and Dakar, as a point of reference for the navigators.
In order to save all the argument whether the people are African or not is not so important. What is important: by choice the Republic of Cabo Verde has made it clear they are of the African identity; but that is not to say all the people of Cabo Verde are Africans. We belong to the African continent; being Caboverdean is a misnomer but we are people made up by many nations and tribes. Some Caboverdeans have family in Africa that go back to a particular tribe. Some Caboverdeans have families in Portugal or in France, and some in Syria and Brasil and some in Holland. They choose to be called Caboverdeans & they are of the human beings of our planet. In Cabo Verde we speak of only two kinds of people that is male and female.
We are proud to say as all the historians and scientist say that Africa is the mother of civilization. We do not choose to get involved in the color code system of the racist. We are of this planet earth we hope we can make economic progress and make a contribution to all humanity because we are humanity. We are a beautiful garden; take your pick on what hue or complexion you want we just hope that you will be happy with your choice. What has color got to do with it?
I would like to bring something to your attention: the word Africa is an old Arab word Afrake which means to divide and that is what they did. Divide us. All of us. What was the continent called before the Arabs did Afrake?
I would like to bring something else to your attention; one of the ancient names of the archipelago called Cabo Verde was called by many of the elders AZIJAH that is in part African Arab tongue. AZIJAH means the mighty Power of God. The prefix Aziz means Power or the Precious of God. The Djah or Jah or Dia means God or Allah or Deus all are the same. Jah is the suffix. The two words together form AZIJAH, which again is to say The Mighty Power Of God or the PRECIOUS of God. The Creole (pidgin) is Guinea Arab Africa, Portuguese and other variables in terms of other languages. For example the late Dr. Amílcar Lopes Cabral (aka) was ABEL-Djassi or Djhassi, which meant the servant or God, Abel meaning servant and Jah in its variables meaning God or Deus or Allah as you wish.
Now all that being said, which certainly leaves room for debate I am sure. What do you all think on the subject?
Well as all of you know that Cabo Verde was colonized for 500 years by Portugal and the biggest influence was by the Roman Catholic Church and the dictator of both the church and the fascist government of Portugal. This will be our next topic. Well my dear friends here we are the year 2000 moving and moving on.
Cabo Verde and its people are going through a lot of changes since independence. From PAIGC to PAICV and MpD. Do some research? Looks like the MpD, which is the movement for democracy, has in their form of democracy sold everything back to the Europeans. It does not take long for the forces of Neo-colonialist to run their game in terms of privatization and economic progress for the rich and the bourgeois. What's new? Yes of course there has been development; but who is taking the cash out of the country? you got it, the Europeans. Who is left in poverty and more misery? You got that right again.
Don't give up hope. The people are seeing the light. Is it to late? No, it is never to late. PAICV is making a definite come back. We got Nho Lobo on the run. Oh for those who don't know who is Nho Lobo: he is the wolf who preys on the people with stories of making things better.
Amílcar Cabral is back on the rise the spirit is coming alive in our youth and in our people. Run those crooks into the sea. Tell no lies and claim no easy victories. Unidade e Luta.
Well my dear friends as I have said sooner or later there was going to be a change and here we have it. Paicv is back in control; that is the party that is most common with the ideas of the late Dr. Amílcar Cabral (Abel-Djassi).
Time does bring about a change. The question now is have we learned from our past mistakes? What will we do different to bring about the unity of the Caboverdean people in the wide world community of Caboverdean people?
Unless the government of Cabo Verde make an all out effort to find the correct mode of operation to guide and to educate the people with the proper information for their enlightenment, that is to say very clear who we are, where have we been, where do we intend to go and how will we do it for the advancement of the country and the unification of all the people.
We do strongly recommend that a Caboverdean critique of our cultural thought and history in terms of our humanity will be such that we take the best of what is, and make the best of what was, so that we give to the world a new way to see the development of humankind.
Certainly we want the best for our economic, social and cultural development, we also want to make the strongest contribution for Africa. We realize Africa has many problems and we cannot resolve them all; especially when we have so many problems of our own. Every African country must deal with its own set of problems but we can work together in many areas and give support to each other.
Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Gambia, Conakry Guinea and other West African states can begin by making a greater effort for unity and economic progress.
We think that Cabo Verde will make an excellent place to have a University that will serve Africa as a model for education, democracy and unity. Why? Because Cabo Verde does not have the problem of tribalism and we have the ability to speak several of the official languages of Africa, and if the effort by the other African countries would make the contributions, we can bring students from other African states and educate them so they will return to their individual countries with a unity of purpose to break down tribalism and regionalism and that purpose will serve each country and in the long run. The Organization of African Unity will be strengthen for the purpose of its charter.
Our principles are to be universal and democratic and with equality for all individual rights and liberty guaranteed for all.
Our African scientist and their fellow colleagues and friends around the world can develop the best ways for the health and welfare of the African people. The cultivation of agriculture and land preservation and water conservation. How to bring fresh water to the countries that need it. Without water there is no life. We must develop the science agronomy and all areas of agrology: this was a theme that was proclaimed by Dr. Amílcar Cabral and others. We have a big task ahead of us but we know it can be done. THE WORLD IS OUR OYSTER AND WE ARE THE PEARL.
I am that Iam going tp point out something that is very interesting
it is on the playing field and food for thought.
Just to show you that great men of great minds alway share something in common thru the ages of time.
THE GREAT TEACHER GAUTAMA AFFECTIONATELY CALLED THE BUDDHA.
THE GREAT TEACHER AMILCAR CABRAL AFFECTIONATLEY CALLED DJASSI. HERE IS WHAT THEY BOTH TAUGHT.
"TO BENIFIT ALL BEINGS IN THE UNIVERSE".
"BUDDHISM'S VIRTUOUS TEACHINGS THEREFORE EXTEND TO ALL

THIS TO IS TO BE FOUND IN AMILCAR CABRAL'S TEACHINGS.
THERE IS NOTHING REALLY NEW UNDER THE SUN AND YET EVERYDAY
THERE IS A CHANGE THAT TAKES PLACE JUST A MATTER OF TIME AND SPACE. THE WORD BUDDHA IS ONLY THE AWAKENING.WAKE UP CABO VERDE? CABO VERDE SAYS! WE ARE NOT SLEEPING! IT IS ONLY THE BLINK OF THE EYE IN THE MATTER OF TIME AND SPACE.

Hi Manu,
These are as usual, extremely powerful words and they bring us to think how little we are when thinking of God. It is a good think that we have such a philosopher among us, 'coz I've been depressing lately with all the: Am I White or Black? Showld we be called this or that? I'm smarter than you, duuuuh!!!
C'mon people, we are G R O W N men and women and as such we should behave. As I wrote in a new topic, what can we do to lift Africa up? How can we participate? Certainly not by spending our time on these childish little thing. I can see how important this can be for some people, but those are people who still don't know who they are. People who are still trying to define themselves according to what they were taught. Are we that kind of breed?
I implore you all, let's contribute in some way. I have a few ideas and I know you have yours so let's meet, Marito, Adriano, Vagabundo, Manu and whoever else can be with us and do what we can.

Yes they are powerful words. To make us think and to know that there is no greater power then the reality of the essence of your self existence your inter-being. There is the past the present and the future.
The reality is that all we know is what man has giving in his or her words
from the earliest in the spoken word or that which has been written.
Historically from A to Z. PHILOSOPHER: Meaning a person who offers views or theories on profound questions in ethics;metaphysics, logic and other related fields. A person who establishes the central ideas of some movement. There is philosophy in all of us. We hope that it will be a rational investigation of the truth and principles of being, knowledge,or conduct. So many great ones,we are sure you can name many of them.
To cut too the chase,we are talking about the Caboverdian people.
There is nothing new under the sun all that is always has been.
More advance technology and the greater the math and science,we have arrived at this point. Are we satisfied with our accomplishments,I don't think so. "Ignorance of truth is one of the greatest evils which afflict the world," asserted Plato.
Jesus backed him up when he said:"Only truth can free mankind from the claws of ignorance and prepare it for the fulfillment of duty."
Later Descartes taught mankind an excellent lesson about truth:
"To distinguish truth from falsity is the only way to clearly see one's act and to move safely through life. A perfect knowledge of everything man may have is just as essential to regulate our habits as the use of our eyes is essential to guide our footsteps. Let us strive to think well:this is the principles of ethics". From Adam to Abraham from Musa to Jesus to Jassi and all other men of good will for peace, harmony try to bring forth enlightenment as also was spoken by the Buddha and so on.
I borrow much from what has been writen for as I have said there is nothing new under the sun. Here is something I have read from the book Christian Rationalism."Man should try to excel in the fulfillment of his duties, and work With utmost devotion. No progress towards perfection is achieved without attention, concern, knowledge, effort, devotion, joy, good humor and unshakeable determination to obtain positive results.
And improvement is closely related to evolution, besides being the main purpose of the spirit's presence on earth. There will be no spiritual progress unless man strives for improvement".
We must fight against ignorance. "Blessed are those who wash their robes".
Amilcar Cabral (Jassi) speaking about liberation at the United Nation in 1972 said this: "In our struggle for liberation of peoples and mankind and against oppression of all kinds in the intertest of a better life in a world of peace, security and progress. While not forgetting the
often remarkable role that Utopia could play in furthering human progress, the PAIGC/PAICV IS VERY REALISTIC". Taken from the book (RETURN TO THE SOURCE)
HE ALSO SAID:"IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO BE COURAGES;IT IS ENOUGH TO BE HONEST". Cabral also said: " TELL NO LIES AND CLAIM NO EASY VICTORIES". |

The question about color is a position of the colonialist and the imperialist to divide and conquer. Amilcar Cabral (Jasssi) said this: In Return to the Source."We are not racists. We are foundamentally and deeply against any kind of racism. Even when people are subjected to racism we are against racism from those who have been oppressed by it. In our opinion not from dreaming but from deep analysis of the real conditions of the existence of mankind and of the division of societies- racism is a result of certain circumstances. It is not eternal in any latitude in the world. Its the result of historical and economic conditions."
Abel-Jassi also greeted our brothers and sisters at a talk he gave in Harlem which I attended." I am bringing to you our African brothers and sisters of the United States-the fraternal salutation of our people in assuring you we are very conscious that all in this life concerning you also concerns us.. It is also a contribution for you to never forget that you are African". We are encouraged by the fact that each day more of our people, here and in Africa, realize this reality. Many people lose energy and effort, make sacrifices combatting shadows,we have to combat the material reality that produces the shadow."
Please be what we are in Cabo Verde that is Caboverdiano.
Don't waste time fighting the shadows of racism.
Get beyond black and white my friend you will stop being depressed when you free yourself from that revolving door of false thinking.
Follow our Prime Minister Dr.Jose Marie Neves and our President Pedro Pires and you will be on the right track with PAICV (Partido Africano Independence Cabo Verde).
Vitory is for certain.

why must we choose between correcting something that was done in the past......what are we trying to correct? is it a racial issue, if it is, would that not be racism on its own merit?
just some thoughts Salah |
My Dear Beloved Brother. great questions.
First let me say this. For me is a better question is.
What do we want to gain?
All the scientist and anthropologist and archaeologist have concluded that the birth of man was on the continent of Africa. This is a fact, not by me, but again by those who are the scientist. Therefore Africa becomes a point and place of reference geographically for all mankind.
One of the issues we are trying to correct is mans inhumanity to man.
The choice to be made is on the individual.
I think that all people of good will would like to change so that the world would be a better place. That is to say to change from evil behavior which is wicked and harmful. What we do know that wicked and evil is
morally wrong. In some way or another;, man all over the world at some time has done evil acts and have engaged in acts which cause suffereing on others.
Now for some people they choose some form of philosophy called by some religion. As we we can see that some of the evil comes from some religions; more people have been killed in the name of some religions.
Cabral (Jassi) said we should (RETURN TO THE SOURCE)
Emanuel (Jesus) said we should (BE BORN AGAIN)
It is not easy. Because today we live in a very false society.
I think this is something we would like to change. Do you agree?
I remember once Amilcar (Jassi) saying a man has the right to have a religion and he also has a right not to have one. That is free will. He did say this;paraphrasing of coures, that what was important is that we should be (RESPONSIBLE.)
One of the meanings of responsible is having a capacity for moral decisions and therefore accountable.
Now for me I think the word RESPONSIBLE & RIGHTEOUSNESS are synonymous.
Now with that being said let me share this with you, something borrowed.
"Among the most praiseworthy human accomplishments are the educational books that are written, the schools that are opened, the scientific organizations that are founded and the work that is done to promote and encourage intellectual, spiritual and material exchange among people.
From this viewpoint,we might also add the enterprises to foster industrial, mineral and agricultural production towards the improvement of living stanadards.
All inhabitants of this planet are imperfect, some more, some less. Therefore, nobody is perfect. Some mistakes are involuntary.
Others are the results of improper exercise of free will.
To err is human. Nothing could be more true. However, once an honest person is advised and becomes convinced of his mistake, he should admit it and try not to repeat it.
It is common practice to conceal one's mistakes, instead of avoiding them. This is very detrimental to spiritual growth.
Most people seldom use impartiality and justice in the innermost evaluation of their own actions. Even those who are to harsh in the judgement of other people's actions, for whom they always have words of criticism and reproach,do not escape the usual tendency. When their own faults are concerned, they find a full. lenient.absolvent justification.
In this way, mistakes end up incorporated to human habitss.
Man thus loses his self-respect and his sense of character and dignity becomes corrupted.
What everyone should do is to face up to his or(her) mistakes and avoid new mistakes with the help of his or her will power."Christian Rationalism
Buddhism which is a living Philosophy. Has this to say.
"The Buddhist theory of causation sees the present self as an accumulation of action from the past. All past causes contribute to the presnt effect. As Buddhism sees it,fate is the continuous working of cause
and effect in life; it is a stream of strict cause-and effect relations extending back into limitless past and forward into limitless future.
Buddhism teaches that,by revising one's view of life in eac present moment, one can gradually change the course of fate.
Buddhism is not escapism masquerading as resignation or a religion of impotent idealism, but a philosophy of life that seeks energetically to change the self for the better and to influence the course of fate."
The great physicist Albert Einstein, for example, used the term universal religion, and historian Arnold Toynbee looks forward hopefully to the emergence of what he calls a "higher religion." But neither gives concrete details about the nature of religion, though both agree that it ought to be logical and scientific in accordance with the requirements of the space age; that it ought to penetrate to the very roots of life;and that it ought to afford the leadership needed to bring about rebirth in the individual, society and all mankind.
Thank you. Lets us continue to see if we can find a better way.
Just food for thoughts.

I AM A REALITY OF UNIVERSAL LOGIC OF ACTUALITY.
For me there is a Higher Power. That life is an not an allusion.
It is a REALITY for me that make me HOLISTIC.
HOLISTIC MEANING RELATING TO OR CONCERNED WITH WHOLES OR WITH COMPLETE SYSTEMS ATTEMPTS TO TREAT BOTH THE MIND AND THE BODY. (HOLISM).
ALL THE GREAT SCIENTIST PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE HAVE DEALT WITH THIS QUESTION.
WE ALL AGREE THAT IT IS ALL ABOUT MIND CHANGE.
FROM NEGATIVE TO POSITIVE BEHAVIOR.
THOSE WHO WISH TO BE WITH ME,BECAUSE I AM WITH YOU,LET US UNITE AND STRUGGLE TOGETHER AND MAKE THIS A BETTER WORLD. WE CAN TRY. NOTHING BEATS A TRY BUT FAILURE NOT TO TRY.
DIVINE GRACE
THE REALITY OF DIVINE GRACE DEPENDS ON WHO INTERPRETS.
THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE INTERPRETATION WILL KNOW DIVINE GRACE.
INTERPRETER.
Cabo Verde is in a state of transformation,we are in the process of washing our Robes, the cleansing of the mind.
It takes time to change and change will come and it is on the move.
Yes we are cleaning our house, but we don't want to throw the baby away with the bath water.
HOW MANY AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT AND WOULD LIKE TO MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR UNITY AND WORK FOR HARMONY AND PROGRESS AND OUR ADVANCEMENT.
With our morabeza for CABO VERDE AZIJAH.

My Dear Friends and Fellow compatriots of Cabo Verde (Azijah)
This forum has allowed us to share our ideas and opinions.
I would like to thank every one who has participated.
As I have said many times before Caboverdianos have had so many different experience in this world.
Some times we have different ideas and opinions because many of us had to endure being a Caboverdiano on different Islands and in many other countries.
Therefore this forum has allowed us to get to know each other in our many differences.
We have made many arguments pro & con. Some times we agreed and some times we did not. One thing for sure we were never afraid to speak our mind.
Today we can all be very gratefull that we are reaching out to each other and getting to know each other better. This is good.
My thinking is that the majority of Caboverde people want what is best for all of Cabo Verde and for the people of Cabo Verde.
When we reach down deep into our hearts, soul, mind and spirit and we are willing to make the sacrifices needed to help each other and to advance the country for the well being of all. We know that life is precious
and that we are all vulnerable.
It is this love for unity, this love for kindness, this love for each other, this compassion; a sympathetic consciousness to help those who are in distress and we want too work together with a strong desire to alleviate the suffereng and the difficulties of pain.
We want to overcome our misfortunes of our past the agony of the misery of the famine the state of being in trouble even in our present time.
For myself I am in the joy that I can see a new begining in Cabo Verde(Azijah) since 1975.
I celebrate all of the people who have made so many sacrifices for this day. For me I celebrate the one man who made all this possible.
Amilcar Cabral made me to reliaze the capacity and the ability and the value of unity in our struggle for freedom and to work together to build a new nation, for me and many more Amilcar is the man who is the renaissance man that has given the rebirth for all of our people.
The big picture is that for all humanity, but the concrete absolute reality
of that starts with the people of Africa.
The Party of African Independence of Guine & Cabo Verde and all the men and women that made every sacrifice from that past to our present,is a bridge to our future and with constant changes to make it better and good.
We have been thru many trials and erros but each time we have learned a valuable lesson. We are determined to work for our unity in our struggle.
We must be willing to continue to make the sacrifices to be able to compromise to make concessions to bind together by mutal agreement for the good of the nation and the people.
To reveal or expose any wrong doings to discredit any mischief this is what we mean by our democracy. This is what Dr.Amilcar Cabral in his heart and in his mind wants for the people of Guine Bissau and for the people of Cabo Verde. P.A.I. which is father which is the also the Party of African Independence.
HONESTY: FREE FROM FRAUD OR DECEPTION MEANING TO BE PRAISEWORTHY TO BE REPUTABLE TO BE DECENT TO BE HUMBLE MARKED BY INTEGRITY.
INTEGRITY: FIRM ADHERENCE TO A CODE OF ESPECIALLY MORAL & INCORRUPTIBLE. THERE ARE MANY MORE ATTRIBUTES.
This is what Amilcar Cabral wanted for all of us and for me I see the similarity of his thoughts and that of Jesus all things may not be the same but I for one thinks that is what he meant in the final analysis when Abel Jassi said (RETURN TO THE SOURCE).
THEREFORE MY FRIENDS AND FELLOW COMPATRIOTS I THINK CABRAL WOULD SAY TO ALL OF US WHAT IS SPOKEN IN ROMANS CHAPTER 12.
FOR ME I SAY THIS. REVELATION CHAPTER 4 THE THRONE IN HEAVEN
THERE SITS THE LAMB,
"HOLY holy, holy is the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY,WHO WAS,AND IS,AND IS TO COME".
My vision is that both Jesus and Jassi are one and they have come all we need to do is to follow in that path for salvation.
By the mercy and the grace of Deus.
Thank you.
Love to all and malice towards none.
unidade e lutta.

CABO VERDE aka AZIJAH some times spelled AZIDJA.
GREEN PLACE & MIGHTY POWERFUL & PRECIOUS DEUS.
CABO VERDE IS THE SEA SHELL IN THE BIG POND.
HERE IS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
SELF-DISCOVERY AND SELF-HEALING THE PROCESS CONNECTING SOUL WITH NATURE.
EXPANDING OUR VIEWS OF THE CREATIVE PROCESS,WE ARE TAKING ON A JOURNEY THAT WEAVES TOGETHER A CORNUOPIA OF MYTHS.
ARCHETYPES AND SYMBOLS,WHICH THROUGH ART,CAN REVEAL HIDDEN DEMENSION OF THE SOUL.
WE CAN SAY THAT ARTIST AND PRIEST HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON.
IS THE UNDERSTANDING OF HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE, WHICH THROUGHOUT THE AGES HAS BEEN USED TO LIBERATE OR CONTROL THE HUMAN PSYCHE.
YOU ARE A SPECIAL PEOPLE.

ONE OF THE THINGS AMILCAR CABRAL AKA ABEL DJASSI WAS TEACHING WAS "KNOW YOUR LEFT FROM YOUR RIGHT"?
THERE IS A LOT TO BE SAID ABOUT THAT. LET IT BE YOUR THOUGHT,JUST THINK ABOUT IT. SOME ONE ELSE MIGHT SAY KNOW YOU RIGHT FROM YOUR LEFT? THEN THEY MAY ASK WHY? THINK ABOUT IT.
WHAT YOU THINK MIGHT BE A GENERALIZATION IS REALLY A CONCRETE
ABSOLUTE REALITY. THE MATH IS THEIR TO SET THE RHYTHM.
WELL I WILL BE 74 ON THE 29TH OF JUNE FOR MANY IT IS A TIME FOR CELEBRATION;THAT IS IN THE REMEMBERANCE OF A FRACTION OF OUR CULTURE & HISTORY OF CABO VERDE? Azijah.
IN CABO VERDE AND THE WORLD OVER MANY WILL HONOR WHAT IS CALLED SAINT PETER & SAINT PAULS DAY. FOR SOME IT MIGHT BE ABSTRACT MEANING INSUFFICIENTLY FACTUAL BUT FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THE WHOLE HISTORY THERE IS A NARRITIVE CONTENT OF ACTUALITY.
THEIR ARE DEEPER & PROFOUND MEANINGS TO MANY OF CABO VERDE (AZIJAH) HISTORY BOTH ANCIENT AND ANCESTRY IN OUR CULTURE.
EVERY ISLAND HAS IT'S BANNER OF STANDARD THAT IS DISTINCTIVE.
MUCH OF IT IS HIDDEN IN THE MUSIC AND THE RHYTHM?
THERE ARE TO MANY TO NAME AND SOME FOLK IN CABO VERDE UNDERSTAND THIS BETTER THEN I.
MORABEZA BEING THE ULTIMATE KEY TO EXPRESS A FAVORABLE JUDGEMENT BY THE ATTRIBUTION OF PERFECTION THAT IS TO SAY VALUE AND MERIT WHICH IS DONE EVERY YEAR FROM ISLAND TO ISLAND THAT SO MANY TAKE FOR GRANTED. IT HAD GREAT MEANING AMONG OUR ELDERS FOR SOME IT IS ONLY A PARADE A HORSE RACE AND THE BANGING ON DRUMS BUT THERE IS MORE TO THIS PAINTING THEN MEETS THE EYE. IT IS OUR SALVATION FOR OUR FUTURE.
NAH VIDA TEIN UN HORA PAR TU DO,NU TAR PREGUNDTAR DEUS.
WE HAVE OUR LIFE AND WE HAVE OUR LOVE NU TEIN NOS SPIRITO.
THAT IS A FACT.
NU TEIN NOS LEMBRANCE.
OUR CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE VIVA CABO VERDE De AZIJAH.
FROM THE PAST,TO THE PRESENT AND INTO FUTURE, PAST & PRESENT TENSE.
