|
|
Today, March 17th, two Portuguese entrepreneurs were caught with 500 kilos in the Port of Praia, capital city of Cape Verde. The drugs were hidden in the freezer of the two men's yacht. Officials from the Cape Verdean Judiciary Police say that this is one of their largest busts in years. The said Portuguese Entrepreneurs were prior to their arrests known as respectable legitimate business men. As it is now evident they weren't so legitimate nor respectable, after all. With their arrests a new phase of the war on drug trafficking in Cape Verde is sure to ensue. The two men will be arrainged today in the criminal court of Praia. |

actually it was a joint action from the portuguese, spanish and cv police, which are now working together...
maica are you trying to stigmatise portuguese people by giving the nationality of the two drug dealers? |

First of all, you need to stop addressing me as "maica". My screen name is "KAKAU".
And second of all, the two portuguese trafikantis, they are what they are, trafikantis, and they were portuguese, so, no, I don't think I was trying to stigmatize them by pointing something factual, their nationality, which is portuguese. And, no, you gotta it wrong, the Cape Verdean Judiciary Police were the only law enforcement officials involved in the bust. No other foreign officials were involved.
The Cape Verdean Judiciary Police is a highly effective law enforcement agency. They do world class investigations and busts. The latest arrests of the two portuguese drug trafickers is just one statistic among the thousands of arrests they've made throughout the years. |

ok maica,
here is an extract from the article on asemana.cv

From 2006 all the cv policial operations are coordinated with portugal and since very lately...maybe two weeks ago some kind of treaty has been signed between spain and cv which bring spanish support to cv in those areas... |

See, it appears it's not just your english comprehension that is poor but also, your portuguese comprehension appeas to be lacking also, for the asemana.cv reporter who wrote that article was just stating that there is only a possibility that the portuguese and spanish law enforcement officials may have helped the Cape Verdean Judiciary Police. He or she, whatever the gender of the asemana reporter was, only hinted that possibly, the portugas and the espanhois MAY have helped in the arrests of those two portuguese drug trafickers. But definitely, the reporter did not say for a fact that the said two foreign law agencies, portuguese and spanish, helped. The truth is, they did not help. Only the Cape Verdean Judiciary Police was involved.
Learn to read well and comprehend what you read and you may not look so moronic over and over again.

maica,
maybe we are not talking of the same thing, as usual you are looking local and I am looking global. You are looking local, because you are talking of the precise police operation after which they were caught. I am talking global about the maga-operation that lasted for more than one year, leaded by cv portugal and spain and mainly funded by the EU which ended up with this operation.
CV doesn't have the money for such operations/investigations and thats a pain for spain and portugal because all the drug that goes trough cv ends up in spain and portugal. That's why Spain and portugal and more generally the EU is funding cv in this kind of operations. |

See, you don't get it, the portguese and spanish law enforcement officials aren't physically in Cabo Verde, they just help a little bit with the financials, but the real physical work is done entirely by the Cape Verdean Judiciary Police. The Cape Verdean Judiaciary Police have been doing first class police work since the early 90's.
