White,Black, is it really important? why not promote a mixed-race society?

Why america is so refractant to a mix race society, why do all these boundaries exist between whites and blacks in the usa? Who wants this to change?

Why america doesn't want to become a mixed-race nation like the south-american nations?

You don't live in the US so you aren't witnessing the serious movement to improve race relations here. Instead of opening old wounds, why don't you talk about something more positive and constructive?
