lets be clear,

-for me the british and the germans are the worst criminal civilisation on earth.
-for me jesus was not white, he didn't look like an englishman. jesus looked like the average middle east person (lets say bin laden).
-for me there is a lot of people on earth who are bad and cruel, it is not a matter of race (as in fact races don't exist). Whites are as bad as blacks, the only difference is that the whites had the power to hurt others, black-africans didn't.

What I don't like, is that you are sending a pernicious message in the last post. Your message suggests that anyone who chooses white culture is a bad person, and anyone that chooses the black culture is good. This is racist and intolrant and untrue. That's not your first try

if he is born in israel, he is more likely to look like a middle eastern. There is little chances that jesus christ looks like a native-nigeran or a native-british.

I don't think cabrala is trying to say that white people are bad and black people are good. The good or evil nature of human beings is not based on their skin color but on their 'heart', that is, their most intrinsic and inner psychology.

What I get from cabrala's words mentioned above is that many European societies use Christianity to preach the propaganda of white superiority by painting Jesus Christ - the 'ultimate symbol' of good, love, power and justice - as a white man. On that I agree with him. History obviously tells us that Church has been an instrument used by groups with power to control and subdue people and make them accept their teachings and philosophies without any questioning. In this perspective, the famous expression of the German philosopher, Karl Marx, gains stronger connotations: "religion is the opium of masses."

On another note, I don't want Jesus to be portrayed as black. On the contrary, he should be portrayed for what he is: if he was white, he should be represented as such; likewise, if he's black or a middle-easterner from African descent, he should be represented as such. People deserve to know him from who he really was not from who the European Societies and the euro-centric Christianity want him to be. On that, I agree with kiko in one of his reply on the topic Race and Society: "I know who I am", when he said:

"...how relevant do you think it would be if say 300 years from now Michael Jordan is depicted as a David Beckham look a like or Bruce Lee is depicted as a Dennis Rodman look a like. The historic image is very important to the current situation..."

Michael Jordan should be presented as Michael Jordan and David Beckham as Beckham. Likewise, Jesus should be portrayed for who he really was, whatever it was.

Do you think he could have looked like The former President Aristides Pereira or Bishop Evora or even Amilcar Cabral like burned brass or former President Mascarenhas or maybe like the Prime Minister Neves or Pedro Pires all from Cabo Verde. Maybe even Gamal Abdel Nasser former President of Egypt. We know he did not look like a British or Chinese.

Why would it make any difference what Jesus Christ looked like. It was not his looks that gave him prominence and excellence. What we do know and I think you have made the point that he was not caucasion or European and far as I am concerened it would not have made any difference if he was. What was important was his righteousness and concern about humanity for peace,love and kindness. Responsibility to
Righteousness. How do you feel or think about Jesus and righteousness?
The real problem is that Europeans have told the biggest lie when in fact they have made Jesus to look like he was a Blonde with Blue eyes.
I suppose we can thank Michelangelo and his contemporaries, the Roman Catholics and the Popes. Why do you think they did that?
