Racial stereotyping persists in 'non-racists'

UNCONSCIOUS stereotypes lurking within even overtly non-racist Americans appear to be leading them to dehumanise black Americans in subtle but important ways.

That is the disturbing conclusion of work by psychologist Jennifer Eberhardt at Stanford University in California and her colleagues. They set out to test if any vestiges remain of a racist stereotype that was common a century ago: that black people are more apelike, and thus less human, than white people.

The team subjected 121 university undergraduates, including 60 whites, 39 asians and seven blacks, to tests that used a technique known as subliminal priming. The students were briefly flashed a photo of either an African-Amercian or a European-American face, and then shown a blurry picture of an ape. The funny thing is that if you shave a chimp, you'll find out that his skin color is white not black. Laughing

This rhetorical just show us how racist theories to relate people from black ancestry to apes don't really have a foundation.

Guys, you stiil did not understand that Termintor and ShintaH Nton are one and the same? All he has to do is install a software to hide or change the IP, change the proxy. He can even do it from the browser as there are plenty of extensions in FF allowing for that. You can try Hi***xy for example. He'll make you believe that he's in Russia, Germany, Japan, whatever.

We are quite sure about that but we are waiting for him to reveal himself. We cannot act on assumptions only though the evidence is pointing towards their veracity. But if he's really St_Antao - which seems to be the case - his behavior will come up soon or later, and them we can get rid off him.

So, far we just blocked St_Antao's username. He can read what's going on but cannot post anything under that ID. We have the option to block his IP address if he keeps coming back with different usernames. In that case, if he uses a static IP address, he won't be able to have access to the forum at all. Let's wait and see how things go.
