THE WORLD MARKET IS DRIVEN BY THOSE WHO HAVE, AND NOT BY THE HAVE NOTS.

FREE ENTERPRISE ARE FOR THOSE WHO ARE FREE WITH POWER TO DO AS THEY WILL.

EVEN IN THE COUNTRIES THAT HAVE THE RAW MATERIALS AND WE ARE TALKING ABOUT 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES WE DO NOT CONTROL THE WORLD BANK OR THE ECONOMY OF THE WORLD. GLOBAL ECONOMY?

AFRICA AND ASIA ARE STILL AT THE MERCY OF THE SUPER RICH COUNTRIES WITH MAYBE SOME MINOR CHANGES IN THE PLAYERS WHO HAVE THE CHIPS.

GOLD, OIL, DIAMONDS ARE CONTROLLED BY LONDON,WALL STREET AND SOME OTHERS IN EUROPE. THE IMPERIALIST ALLOWED INDEPENDENCE BUT THE PURSE STRINGS ARE STILL IN THEIR HANDS AND THEIR BANKS.
CHINA IS A RISING STAR.
AFRICA WITH ALL OF ITS RESOURCES. MANY AS OF YET HAVE NOT BEEN DEVELOPED; MUST GO THRU THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE WEST.

AZAINIA (SOUTH AFRICA) IS A PRIME EXAMPLE.

THE OIL RICH COUNTRIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST ARE IN BED WITH THE WEST. THEY MAY TURN EAST TO PRAY BUT IT IS TO THE WEST,HOMAGE THEY PAY.

WHILE SOME RATTLE THEIR SABER THEY ONLY REALLY HAVE A DAGGER.

OTHER 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES WHO HAVE MUCH LESS OR MAYBE NOTHING, HAVE TO BE VERY ASTUTE TO SURVIVE.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN ELITE CLASS AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A POOR CLASS. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE. CALL IT BY ANY NAME YOU WISH.
JESUS SAID THE POOR WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU? I WONDER WHY HE SAID THAT?

UTOPIA IS IMAGINARY.
THE IDEA OF UTOPIAN SOCIALISM. THE CLOSES WE CAN GET TO THAT IS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE GETS THE PROPER HEALTH CARE AND THE BEST EDUCATION SO THAT EVERY ONE WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A DECENT LIFE AND CARE. AND FOR THOSE WHO HAVE, THAT IT DOES NOT EXCEED ABOVE AND BEYOND WASTED MATERIAL WEALTH AT THE SUFFERING OF THE WORKING CLASS.

EVERY ONE IS NOT GOING TO BE A SCIENTIST OR A BOURGEOIS BUT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE PROPER CARE TO ENJOY HAPPINESS AND THE BENIFITS OF A GOOD LIFE.

LET US REMEMBER THAT WHEN THE BOLSHEVIKS TOOK POWER IT DID NOT ALL TURN OUT WELL FOR THE POOR OR THE PEASANTRY IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS.

PERHAPS THERE ARE THOSE WHO SEE IT DIFFERENTLY.

WE CAN DO MUCH BETTER IF WE LEARN TO SHARE AND TO HELP OTHERS IN OUR SOCIETY AND OUR COMMUNITIES TO HAVE FOOD CLOTHING AND SHELTER AND THAT EVERY ONE HAS WORK BASED ON THE CAPACITY OF WHAT THEY CAN DO TO MAKE THERE CONTRIBUTION FOR A GOOD LIFE FOR ALL.

MOST EVERYONE IN THE 3RD WORLD KNOWS THE GAME OF SOCCER.

WE KNOW THAT GAME IS 11 PEOPLE PLAY ON EACH TEAM.IT IS ONE GAME THAT IS VERY CONDUCIVE FOR THE POOR.

ALL YOU NEED IS AN OPEN FIELD A BALL AND IN SOME COUNTRIES THEY WOULD USE SOMETHING ROUND THAT LOOKED LIKE A BALL.
YOU DIDN'T NEED A SPECIAL UNIFORM,THE RULES WERE RATHER SIMPLE. MANY 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES CHILDREN PLAY BAREFOOT.

BUT THERE IS SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL ABOUT THAT GAME,THERE IS DISCIPLINE,THERE IS UNITY,THERE IS ORGANIZATION AND THERE IS SOCIABILITY. THE END RESULT TO PROPEL THE ROUND BALL INTO THE OPPONENTS GOAL BY KICKING IT WITH ANY PART OF THE BODY EXCEPT THE HANDS AND ARMS. THE ONLY PERSON THAT COULD TOUCH THE BALL IN PLAY IS THE GOALIE. ASK ANY CHILD IN CABO VERDE OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN AFRICA OR ANY 3RD WORLD COUNTRY.

ONE OF THE OTHER THINGS WE LEARN IN PLAYING FOOTBALL IS SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. WHAT A GREAT GAME!

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY IN FOOTBALL?
WE MEAN THE STUDY OF THE MANNER IN WHICH THE PERSONALITY,ATTITUDES,MOTIVATIONS,AND BEHAVIOR OF THE INDIVIDUAL INFLUENCE AND ARE INFLUENCED BY SOCIAL GROUPS.

IN ORDER TO DO THAT WE MUST PLAY AS A TEAM IF WE ARE GOING TO WIN AND THAT IS KNOWING HOW TO PLAY THE GAME.

I REMEMBER PLAYING WHAT WE CALLED SOCCER,IT WAS VERY INTERESTING,BECAUSE AS A YOUTH GROWING UP IN A SMALL TOWN IT WAS NOT OUR GAME OF CHOICE,WAS BASEBALL .

WE HAD A TEACHER WHO GOT A GROUP OF US CV CHILDREN AND WE REALLY DID NOT KNOW THE GAME. WE KNEW THAT WE WERE TO KICK THE BALL WITHOUT USING OUR HANDS AND WE WERE ROUGH IN HOW WE PLAYED. WE PLAYED AGAINST EACH OTHER THAT IS THE CV KIDS. (SECOND GENERATION.) (SMALL TOWN DOWN THE CAPE)

THIS TEACHER THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE US PLAY AGAINST A TEAM WHICH WAS ANGLO.(USA)

I WILL TELL YOU THIS IT CAME SO DAM NATURAL FOR US TO RUN AND KICK THE BALL. WE BEAT THE OTHER TEAM REAL BAD AND THEY NEVER SCORED ON US. THAT TEACHER STOPPED THE GAME WHEN IN FACT THE SCORE GOT INTO DOUBLE FIGURES.

NEVER AGAIN DID HE BRING A SOCCER BALL FOR US TO PLAY WITH,SO WE WENT BACK TO BASEBALL. I THOUGHT YOU WOULD GET A KICK OUT OF THAT STORY.

I WOULD LIKE TO THINK ABOUT CABO VERDE AS ONE TEAM AND WE ARE OUT TO WIN THE GAME.

WE MUST GET RID OF CORRUPTION.

I want to thank FORCV.COM and this forum for giving this old man the opportunity to express my thoughts and perhaps some times controversial opinions.

I am not opposed too constructive criticism,but I hope we can find reasonable means for truth and common practice and being pragmatic.

This forum while being global and universal is called Friends of Republic Cabo Verde or For Cabo Verde. Again i just want ot give my heart felt thanks to all of you who make it possible.

The last piece i wrote metaphorically about the game of soccer but i also used the term succor. Just to make sure that we understood succor it was not a mistake in spelling,succor means run to the rescue or to bring aid to furnish relief or to give help. A friend of mine asked me about that and suggested I make that clear.

I am so pleased in the last 30 years or more to make so many new friends from Cabo Verde or Caboverdianos from many different countries both from Portugal,Africa,South America and Asia and not to forget Europe.

Being that I was born in the United States my experience was very different and the good lord knows that i have been on many sides of the spectrum in terms of what I call the kaleidoscope.I can assure that for most of my life I have been on the shady side of the spectrum if you knowwhat i mean:lol:

My grandparents thanks to them and growing up in my early childhood gave me the language of creolu and the basics of what was the culture of at least the two Islands from which they came. Dja-Fogo & Dja-Brava.

Thanks to them and thanks to the Late Dr.Amilcar Cabral and all the others that became my mentors about my humanity as a Caboverdiano.

Living in West Africa mostly Senegal,Gambia,Guinea Bissau and Cabo Verde at least on seven Islands;missing out only on Brava,Boa Vistar and Maio.

In the last 30 years talking with men and woman from Cabo Verde and other countries i have much appreciation for your kindness and your patience.

Well the point is; what I have found out is that every one wants the best for Cabo Verde and its people. We find that we differ how is the best way to accomplish the changes that we must make to bring unity and progress.

There is some distinction or discrimination in the preference and disagreement how to make the changes. This is what i hear and what i see and what i am told.

Well; what I can say, is that from my perspective and I am sure there is some corrections to be made. Please feel free to interject your thoughts.

For hundreads of years every Island had its way of doing things and under the old regime before independence we were not united but very divided and the only form of unity we had was by the religious churches which in fact for most part was the Roman Catholic Church. Is there more to be said on that?

To come too the present with out getting bogged down. Today and yesterday and for tomorrow those who will be elected into the government are those who have been trained and are of the intellectual class and who have the knowledge to run the country and to serve in any capacity that they might qualify.

The greater majority of our people as of this time depend on the honesty and the integrity of those who are in office.

The integrity and the dignity of the men and woman who will hold office.

Since the greater population are not very familar with politics and the science of economics and how to run a government we depend on you our children who will lead us in to the future.

The question what kind of man and woman do we want for our future?

What will we teach our children for the success and the advancement of our nation?

What will it take to bring about the unity?What will be the necessary education to bring the conditions to make our society function correctly?

There is certainly a way that we can agree that we all work together for our unity and our advancement.

We the people don't want to hear the arguments back and forth about what party is best,we want that all should work as one for the benefit of all.

Politics for the individual or for the selected few is not acceptable.

Our is not to be for (LUST - POWER & MONEY)

It takes COURAGE meaning both mental and moral strength.

A good spirit a quality of temperament enabling one to hold ones own and to keep up ones morale when opposed or threatened.

This is what we want for Cabo Verde. This is what we mean when we say Azijah.

Cabo Verde is our holy sea is our Azijah.

My dear Brothers & Sister let Cabo Verde Azijah become the light of the of the world.

Beloved. Now we are the sons of Deus.

We love not the world as it is.
We are in the world but be not of the world.

Let us be quickened together with Christ,by grace ye are saved.

Knowing how to play the game.

I suppose some one might ask what game are you talking about?

I am not even sure if I understand that myself,but it sounded good when I first said it. The mind of men;who knows what good or evil lurks in the mind and hearts of men?

Oh well I was just sitting on the outside on the deck,bright sun shine,blue skies very clear not a cloud insight. Green grass,green leaves on the trees
slight breeze what a beautiful day. The birds singing there melody,how sweet the sound,what inner peace at that moment.

The thought was how wonderful at this very moment to capture the breeze and the strong light from the sun so bright and warm. I said how lucky i am at this moment of the joy & happiness in this comfort zone at this moment. Caught up into the melody of the bird,my mind went to my inner most thoughts and i said what nature has done,then the question is there must be a creator a force and power. What we have been taught is Deus or God or Allah and so many other names in many different languages.

Then my thoughts was what about the people in other parts of the globe this planet earth. Those that were at war or that are suffering,such as those in Dafur,Sudan or the Congo or in Iraq or Palestine,those who have no food or water,mothers who are suffering,children who are dying in there mothers arms,bombs bursting,children and people walking on mines that were left by some military that was fighting a war,for a few moments I could feel the horror of the wretched on this planet earth. What about the crime and Killings in the streets of New York and thru out the USA or in Paris France or London England and all over the world.

The insane horror of someone strapping a bomb to their body and walking into a bus or a crowded resturant or into a place of worship,blowing themselves up and killing innocent,men,woman and children.

That is not a game I said to myself,and i felt so sorry for i knew there was
nothing I could do. Why WhyWhy?
There was no easy answer for mans inhumamnity to man.

Oh yes I have seen war and I have seen its destruction,I have seen men,woman and children with out arms or legs with out ears or eyes from the horror of war.
I turned into myself deeply and spoke what I thought would be the only thing that I knew how to do and that was to pray in several languages.

In Hebrew,Arabic,English,Portuguese, From the Our Father and the Al Fatiha;Rahman ner Rahim but I said I don't think any one heard me,for I am sure the killing is still going on and I buried my face in shame for the wicked in man. No I don't have the answer but I prayed any way.

Then I walked into the house and I picked up a very small book that I thought was lost,and I turned to the book of Proverbs.
This is what I read
"My son,forget not my law;but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For the length of days,and long life,and peace,shall they add to thee.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee;bind them about thy neck;write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
trust in the Lord with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding".
