You know what. It is your arrogant personal conceit and attitude of being better then others or that you or Portugal is more than,it has been a vanity issue with you from the very begining. Overbearing.

What you fail to reliaze is the hurt that so many Caboverdianos have suffered over the years. We can forgive but that takes time but we can't forget so quickly. No one blames the Jews for not forgetting Hitler,or the U.S. for not forgetting about Pearl Harbor or the Indians not forgetting Wounded Knee or the Africans not forgetting,and so on. If you want better relationship you should remember and be more humble.

I come from a poor family the bottom of the rung, my grand parents were not allowed to go to school and were peasant that was forced to live a wretched life,under the system in Cabo Verde. We were forced to leave and to escape the misery. We came to the U.S.To be cranberry pickers from sun up to sun down,our children were as slave labor in the U.S. Our people worked night and day for pittance and with that we sent money to help those families back on the Islands,we sent barrels of clothing dry food products. You wouldn't know anything about that. And as far as living high off the hog in the U.S. You don't know what the hell your talking about. So shut up.

Yes today,over 100 years Caboverdianos are doing much better and we are grateful for that chance. But poverty still is in the USA just as it is in Portugal or any other country. So this crap about being so great is not so great after all.
If I was young enough and had the money I would be next to you in a minute.

I can understand that you are hangry against the former portuguese regime, which was clearly a fascist system, with no freedom for most of the citizens, and furthermore for cv there was colonialism, nevertheless this colonialism was a "setelement colonialism".

Now, I can't understand that you criticize the social-democrat portugal of nowadays, which is one of the most democratic countries of the world. If capeverde was part of the nowadays social-democratic portugal...Capeverde would have nothing to fear.

The question is: Does Cape-verde need to go back into nowadays social-democrate Portugal?

For the very last time. I am not against the new Portugal or the Portuguses people or the new democracy of Portugal I applaud it. It is you as an individual that I don't like. Your agenda is one that would put us back 100 years into the past.

I worked with and still work with my dearest Portuguese friends who are progressive for our future.

It is your attitude that bugs me,you act as though Caboverdianos can't think for themselves and that they are at a loss unless they follow your agenda. Your agenda means nothing. We have our own agenda and as Amilcar Cabral has said we have our own heads to think with.

We don't need you as a person or your agenda.

When i use the word idiotic for you I mean showing complete lack of thought or common sense for Cabo Verde feelings or the feelings of African people or the peopel below the sub-saharan line which you call (Black) or for African Americans.

I feel a lot of rage in your message. It sounds like you hate portugal, which is a democratic country and you don't want to admit that the fascism and the colonialism was the past.

My agenda is the future with a democratic portugal and EU. You hate these two and that's why you show so much rage...

For me you don't represent democracy. But I don't hate you, I am just indifferent to your sensibleless messages. I don't care...

THE PAST IS ONLY A FEW MOMENTS AWAY IT WAS LIKE THE BREATH YOU JUST TOOK AND IT IS GONE THEN THERE IS ANOTHER.
IN CABO VERDE WE HAVE PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR FUTURE AND THEY ARE DOING A GOOD JOB.

TRYING TO PROMOTE DEMOCRACY AND IDEAS FROM FAR AWAY IS NOT A REALITY FOR THEM WHO LIVE IN CABO VERDE AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH THERE REALITY EVERYDAY UNDER SOME DIFFICULT SITUATIONS.

Before concluding that Cape Verde is a part or not of Africa, you should visit Africa ( and visit Europe to know if CV is a part of it too).
You should visit Senegal, Guine, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina, etc. and visit also Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania etc.. and know those people and culture.
You have to do the same thing with Spain, Italy, Portugal.

Only after that YOU CAN KNOW IF CAPE VERDE IS A PART OF AFRICA OR OF EUROPE.
